Security leaderboard
Compare enrolled employees using current policy, training, phishing, and security-checklist engagement scores.
Overview
The security leaderboard ranks enrolled employees using the engagement scores available from active elba modules. It helps admins find pending work and open an employee's supporting details; it is not a standalone assessment of every type of cyber risk.

Only enrolled, active employees are included.
What the leaderboard shows
The admin leaderboard includes:
- Rank, name, and group memberships
- Overall score
- Checklist score when employee security issues are in use
- Policy score when the policy module is active
- Training score when a program or manual training is available
- Phishing score when the phishing program or manual simulations apply
Columns for inactive modules are not shown.
How scores are calculated
Each module score ranges from 0 to 100. The overall score is the rounded average of the modules that apply to that employee. A module that does not apply is excluded from the denominator rather than reducing the score.
Manual training, phishing simulations, or distributed issues can make a module apply to an employee even when the corresponding automated program is not active.
Policy
- 100 when the employee has approved the active security policy
- 0 when the active policy has not been approved
Training
The score is the percentage of available trainings that the employee has completed. Future trainings are not counted. When training applies but none is currently available, the score is 100.
Phishing
The base score is the percentage of successful results across the employee's five most recent completed simulations. Reporting a simulated phishing message adds five points per reported simulation, capped at a 25-point reporting bonus. The final phishing score cannot exceed 100.
When phishing applies but the employee has no completed simulation, the score is 100.
Checklist
The checklist score is the percentage of distributed employee security issues that have been remediated. When the checklist applies but no issue has been distributed to that employee, the score is 100.
Overall score and rank
The overall score is the rounded average of the applicable module scores. Employees are ordered from highest to lowest score. Employees with the same score share the same rank, so the next rank can skip a number.
The score indicator uses these thresholds:
- Red: below 50
- Orange: 50 through 74
- Blue: 75 through 100
The first three ranks use medal indicators.
Find and act on employees
Use the search field to find an employee by name or email. A search begins after at least two characters. Use the group filter to narrow the leaderboard to employees who belong to the selected groups.
You can sort by overall score or an available module score. From row and bulk actions, admins can:
- Export current employee detail data to CSV
- Send a training reminder when pending training is available
Select an employee row to open their Employee risk profile, including the supporting training, phishing, account, and asset views available for that employee.
Control member visibility
Admins always retain the administrative leaderboard. To control the member experience, open Settings → General → Leaderboard and choose:
- Visible: members can view the full leaderboard
- Anonymized: members see only their own ranking rather than the full leaderboard
Choose the setting that fits your employee-privacy and engagement policies.
Use scores responsibly
Leaderboard scores measure activity in configured elba workflows. They should not be used as a proxy for job performance or as the sole basis for an employment decision.
Before following up with an employee:
- Open their profile and confirm the underlying activity.
- Check whether assignments and connected sources are complete.
- Consider leave, onboarding, accessibility, and other legitimate context.
- Use the score to direct support, not to label the employee.
Troubleshooting
An employee is missing
Confirm that the employee is active and enrolled under Settings → Team → Users.
A module column is missing
The column only appears when the module applies to the organization, such as an enabled program, assigned training, or distributed-issue workflow.
A score differs from an exported report
Reload the leaderboard and export again so both views use current data. If the difference remains, compare the employee's module assignments and underlying activity before contacting support.
